Day 1
Fly direct to Venice. On arrival make your own way to your hotel where you will spend 2 nights. (Instructions on how to reach your hotel using the local water buses will be provided.)

Day 2
Venice: Don't miss St Mark’s Basilica, the Doge’s Palace, the Rialto Bridge and the Bridge of Sighs.  Ride on a water bus along the Grand Canal to experience the sights and sounds of Venice’s busiest waterway.  Take any turning off one of the main thoroughfares and just lose yourself in the network of alleyways, relishing the serenity of a city devoid of cars.  

Day 3
Make your own way to the Santa Lucia railway station for the journey by rail to Florence where you will spend 2 nights. (Journey time is approximately 2 hours and there is a choice of departure times.)

Day 4
Florence: Visit the Uffizi Gallery, the Galleria dell'Accademia & the Duomo. Stroll across the Ponte Vecchio or if you prefer to take things easy head to the Boboli Gardens for some tranquil respite from the buzz of the city.

Day 5
Make your own way to the Santa Maria Novella railway station for the journey by rail to Rome where you will spend 3 nights. (Journey time is approximately 1.5 hours and there is a choice of departure times.)

Day 6
Rome: Where better to start your Rome experience than the Colosseum, possibly the most iconic and impressive ancient monument to symbolise Rome? Continue to the Roman Forum where you can walk amongst the architectural ruins that once served as the centre of political, commercial and judicial life in ancient Rome.

Day 7
Rome: Enclave of the holy see and a separate sovereign state since 1929, visiting the Vatican City is an experience that should make it on to every Rome itinerary. Across the Tiber discover the beautifully flamboyant baroque architecture of the Trevi Fountain and the Piazza Navona.

Day 8
Join the shuttle transfer from your hotel to Rome airport for the return flight to the UK.

Our opinion… The Hotel Hesperia provides an excellent, personalized service, thanks to the fact that the owners are always present, and available to give their constant care and attention to the needs of their guests.

Location… The hotel is situated in the historic centre, looking onto the Canale di Cannaregio.

Accommodation… Rooms are furnished with care in a modern style, but still maintain a typical Venetian look. All the rooms have a private bathroom and are equipped with all modern conveniences such as telephone with direct outside line, satellite TV, air-conditioning with individual control, central heating, mini-bar, safe, hair-dryer and Wi-Fi internet connection.

Facilities… Breakfast rooms and lounge. There is also a splendid terrace, from where you can watch the hustle and bustle of daily Venetian life.

Our opinion… A great choice for exploring Florence due to its excellent location and customer service.

Location… The Hotel Giglio is located on the Via Cavour, a popular main street in the centre of Florence, only a leisurely walk away from many of the most visited historical sites of Florence like the Florence Dome.

Accommodation… The comfortable rooms are tastefully furnished with hard-wood or terra cotta floors and are all equipped with air conditioning, autonomous heating, direct telephone lines Satellite television, security vaults and Internet access upon request. Bathrooms include either bathtubs or showers, hair dryers and towel heaters.

Facilities… The hotel serves a buffet breakfast and has a 24 hour reception desk where multi-lingual staff can help you get the most from your stay in Florence.

Transport… The hotel is a 15 minute walk from Santa Maria Novella railway station

Our opinion... Lovely little hotel in an ideal location for exploring Rome.

Location... This historic hotel is situated in the centre of Rome, just 5 minutes from Termini railway station and less than 1 km from tourist attractions such as the Colosseum, the Trevi Fountain and the Spanish Steps. 

Accommodation... All rooms are served by the lift and are bright and welcoming. Room amenities include air conditioning with individual temperature control, electronic safe, satellite TV, internet connection, telephone, minibar, sound proofed doors and windows and private bathrooms with hairdryer.

Facilities... The hotel has a breakfast room. The surrounding area is filled with cafes and restaurants.

Transport... Subway station 200m from the hotel.
