What to see on a Milan City Break
All city breaks to Milan must surely start with The Duomo. Rising above the city skyline, the Santa Maria Nascente Cathedral is a stunning example of Gothic architecture. Noted as one of the world’s largest cathedrals, you won’t be able to miss this on your Milan city break even if you tried! Da Vinci’s recently restored masterpiece The Last Supper is another essential on your Milan city break. If art is your thing then the Brera Art Gallery which was originally opened by Napoleon in 1809 would be another good place to visit during your Milan city break. The museum features many works of art collected by Napoleon during his campaigns in Italy. If shopping is more to your taste on a city break, then the Galleria Vittorio Emanuele will not leave you disappointed. The Galleria opened in 1867 and features in the Guinness World Records as the world’s oldest shopping arcade. Definitely not something you want to miss on your Milan city break.
