All within easy walking distance of each other the Prado, Regina Sofia and Thyssen-Bornemisza museums house a fantastic selection of art from old masters like Ruebens to Picasso, Dali and Van Gogh. Relax and take in the beautiful buildings over a coffee in one of the market squares or Basque in the splendor of Palacio Real – The Royal Palace. For a spot of retail therapy then there are numerous shopping centres full of well-known labels, or if you happen to be in Madrid on a Sunday, the streets of Barrio la latina become a huge outdoor market selling everything from souvenirs to paintings.
