Our opinion…This hotel has a lovely location in the heart of the city, on a small side street off the Overtoom. This is an excellent find in a quiet but central location, ideal for all travellers, and comes very highly recommended.

Location... It is adjacent to the Vondel park and has many bars, restaurants and shops on its doorstep. It is also within walking distance of the Leidseplein, with its bars and restaurants and famous Holland Casino, the shopping street of the PC Hoofsstraat, and the Van Gogh and Rijks Museum.

Accommodation…The 45 bedrooms are all very different and unique and offer some of the best accommodation of any 3 star hotel in Amsterdam. All rooms are in very good condition and are tastefully decorated.

Facilities… The hotel offers a breakfast room and bar/lounge.

Transport...Tram 1 stops near the hotel and offers direct access to Amsterdam Central Station.

NH City Centre

Our opinion…Occupying an impressive Art Deco building overlooking the Singel Canal, the NH City Centre is a large hotel with superb central location on the Spuistraat, a quiet street in the centre of town with many bars and restaurants.

Location... Spuistraat 288-292. The hotel is only a short stroll to the famous floating flower market, Anne Frank House and the bustling Dam Square.

Accommodation…209 contemporary style bedrooms are decorated in neutral shades to a good standard.

Facilities… Breakfast room, lounge bar and restaurant.

Transport... All modes of public transport are within easy reach of the hotel.

Bellevue

Our opinion…Modern style hotel in a great location for exploring the city.

Location... in the heart of the city, attractions, shops, restaurants and bars are easily accessible.

Accommodation…The 75 bedrooms are modern and decorated in brilliant white with a splash of colour on one wall.

Facilities… The bistro-style restaurant is located on the ground floor and serves a hot buffet breakfast, with light meals for lunch or dinner.

Transport...300 meters from the central train station. The Martelaarsgracht tram stop is opposite the hotel and offers direct links to Museum Square which includes the Rijksmuseum.

Okura Amsterdam

Our opinion... A luxury, contemporary hotel with famous restaurants and panoramic views. Features it's own private jetty on the Amstel Canal. The champagne and cocktail bar on the 23rd floor offers magnificent views of Amsterdam.

Location… situated in trendy De Pijp, 1 km from the museum quarter.

Accommodation... Guestrooms in this 23-story tower, offer city views, five star service and modern facilities.

Facilities... Okura Hotel houses 4 high quality restaurants. French restaurant Ciel Bleu holds two Michelin stars and the Japanese restaurant Yamazato has one Michelin star.

The health club with fitness centre and indoor swimming pool offers a relaxing atmosphere.

Transport... A taxi and tram stop can be found right in front of the hotel.

Golden Tulip Inn Amsterdam Centre

Our opinion…Tulip Inn Amsterdam Centre is set within several townhouses, close to the lively Dam Square and Warmoesstraat area.

Location... On the Beursstraat, a short walk from Dam square. Well positioned for access to the many attractions of Amsterdam.

Accommodation…93 rooms can vary in size as the hotel consists of several old townhouses, but all are well decorated, comfortable and have good facilities.

Facilities… Attractive breakfast room and bar/lounge.

Transport...Central Station 500 metres from hotel.
