Corona D'Italia in Florence

Our opinion… Delightful 3* superior hotel in the centre of Florence

Location… Centrally located on Via Nazionale, this hotel is in the immediate vicinity of the Duomo and San Lorenzo market.

Accommodation… Perfectly soundproofed, all rooms have individually controlled air conditioning, satellite television, direct-dial telephone, hair dryers, private safe and mini-bar, as well as modem connections.

Facilities… Breakfast is served buffet-style, with a choice of pastries prepared according to delicious traditional Tuscan recipes, accompanied by a wide variety of cheeses, cold meats, yogurt and seasonal fruit. The hotel does not have a restaurant but there are many to choose from within the immediate vicinity.

Transport… Only steps away from the Santa Maria Novella train station.

March 2010
The hotel was friendly and welcoming. Even though we arrived early at lunchtime we were shown straight to our room to unpack and settle in. While Florence was unusually cold and rainy, the hotel was comfortable and cosy to return to each day with fresh towels and linen and plenty of hot water. Though slightly puzzled by our request, staff were able to rustle up a teapot and milk and on the last morning supplied a packed breakfast as we had to leave early.

November 2007
Hotel ideally situated from Train station, street market (daily) and easy reach to Cathedral and other local areas, including Pont de Vechio. Lots of local restaurants within easy walking distance. Hotel staff very curtious and helpful. Decent buffet breakfast. Our bedroom was excellent (all newly refurbished.)

Helpful, courteous staff. Pleasant , clean room but the best point was the location , only 5 mins walk from the Duomo.
July 2006
The Corona D'Italia is located really conveniently 5 mins from the coach stop to Pisa and the railway station. 7 mins along the streets filled with an attractive and fun street market to the Duomo and is in the Via Nazionale which has some fun shoe and great coffee shops. The Via Faenza has 3 great restaurants. The rooms are very spacious and have air-c0nditioning; the staff at reception will book tickets to the Uffizi and Accademia for you. A posh smart hotel in an unpretentious area.
