A well appointed, modern hotel with lots of facilities including a gym, indoor pool and large lobby area with lounge bar, and of course a sauna. Located approx 10 minutes from the main station and close to the famous Finlandia Concert Hall.

The hotel is located in the heart of Helsinki. It is in the middle of the shopping area, close to the central station and harbour. An ideal base from which to discover Helsinki. The 298 rooms are medium in size. Rooms are decorated in warm, bright colours with wooden furniture. Both the rooms and the bathrooms are in very good condition. Rooms are very Scandinavian in design, typical of this particular chain. This is a well-maintained hotel, of high standard and in a perfect location.

This city hotel is situated at the heart of Helsinki, close to the harbour and plenty of sightseeing attractions, such as museums. The famous shopping street in the city with countless shopping venues and the main train station can be reached in just a few minutes walk. Further links to the public transport network are also in the vicinity (roughly 100 m away) and Helsinki-Vantaa airport is roughly 20 km away. Room The comfortable rooms are designed with wooden furniture and pastel colours and come with their own bathroom with hairdryer, a direct dial telephone, satellite/ cable TV, a minibar/ fridge and a hire safe. Sport Relaxation options come in the form of an indoor swimming pool and a sauna.

Our opinion… The Arthur offers comfortable accommodation, a cosy atmosphere and a fantastic location.

Location… The hotel is located close to the railway station in the very heart of Helsinki. The main sights, biggest department stores and theatres are just walking distance away.

Accommodation… The rooms are attractively decorated with simple modern furniture. Bathrooms are with shower only. All rooms come with connection for laptop, in-house movie, satellite television, mini bar & hairdryer.

Facilities… There is a restaurant serving lunch and dinner and a hotel bar. The hotel also has two saunas for hotel guests.

Transport… Close to the station and a one minute walk to the nearest bus stop.

Our opinion… A modern hotel with an intriguing history! The building originally served as a county prison and pre-trial detention centre which closed in 2002.

Location… The hotel is surrounded by the Linnanpuisto Park. Downtown Helsinki is 10 minutes away by tram or about 15 minutes on foot.

Accommodation… During prison time the house had 164 cells. The charming, personal quarters have been constructed by using 2 or 3 cells for each comfortable hotel room. While the thick brick walls ensure a sound sleep, the first-class conveniences are available to meet even the most demanding requirements. All rooms have first-class amenities: room-specific cooling system, two complimentary Internet connections, 32 '' flat-screen TV, safe-deposit box, mini-bar, electric kettle (coffee/tea), iron and ironing board and hair dryer.
