The walk up to this hotel was rather off putting as the area looked very run down. However it was very central area with easy access to the hop on hop off buses, Douro River and station.
We absolutely loved staying at the Quality Inn; staff were most helpful & considerate. It was in an excellent location for shopping, eating and sight seeing.
Great hotel. Great location.
Overall the hotel was excellent with helpful staff apart from the air conditioning in the room was none functioning and hotel seemed unable or unwilling to fix it (night temperatures of 29).
Had first floor room at front, good double glazing - quiet!
3 star - clean ok.
Breakfast - ok but more choice would be good.
Good location within walking distance of all main sites. Good range of cafes & restaurants near by too. Hop on/hop off bus stop very close so easy to see the city.
A comfortable & convenient hotel to discover the city. Effective double-glazing ensures a quiet night despite close proximity of city traffic & crowds.
The hotel is perfectly situated close to the centre and with a good selection of bars and places to eat nearby. The staff are fantastic. The breakfast buffet is a bit basic and the hotel bar is not very convivial but with so many choices close by that does not matter.
Good location near Sao Bento railway station and metro. Fruit good at breakfast but the best was unimaginative - only had breakfast first day as chose local cafe instead.
Great location, near a tourist tram spot.
Very nice hotel in good position for transport, cafes, shopping etc.
Close to all the sites.
Excellent location close to all main sites. Room was small but maybe it was just ours..
Overall good & good friendly staff. However although bar food was advertised on the bar menu - there wasn't any!.
The hotel was well sited in the square. Tea making facilities in the room were provided. :)
Smack in the middle of everything, easy to find, great transport links. Rooms are a bit dated but have everything you need and are really quiet considering the busy position. Staff are very good.
Excellent situation, easily walkable to all areas of Porto. Friendly & helpful staff, ample breakfast choice. Upstairs & bedroom a little tired looking, but wouldn\'t stop me staying here again.
The centralisation was amazing and we noticed it was 100 years old. Bedroom furniture was poorly positioned so restricted movement, but the provision of coffee - making facilities was appreciated. Breakfast included cooked items but neither muesli nor brown bread.
PRO: Large room with balcony. Excellent location. Bar area & lounge very nice.
CON: Insecure electrical socket. Room power failure (1 morning) Water failure (once).
Quality Inn staff were outstanding. Room was spacious, tea & Coffee & Safe in room. but no separate shower. No Balcony. Air conditioning excellent. Bed notably good. 2 very small lifts - always available, but might induce claustrophobia! Position excellent. East walk to main square, sights and rail statin. On bus & tram routes.
Comfortable hotel, good central location.
Perfectly located and even if walking is difficult as it is very steep in parts, the public transport etc bus, tram, rail, car make everything convenient for everybody.
A lovely hotel with pleasant friendly staff. Excellent breakfast, with a good range of hot and cold items.
Very good and clean bedding each day also reception staff more than helpful - we would recommend this hotel to anyone.
The hotel was in an excellent location, clean and tidy with very helpfull staff. A little noisy at night but this didnt affect the experience in anyway as we were a young group. I would recommend this hotel to friends etc
Well placed for sightseeing, near rail and metro. Easy from airport to the hotel on the Metro.
