If you have time a visit to Amalienborg Palace will be rewarded with a full history of Denmark’s royal family. The Christiansborg Palace home to the Danish Parliament and Supreme Court is another impressive building. There is also the Carlsberg brewery, a number of beautiful churches with steeples and spires and numerous museums to explore on colder days.

Oslo: Unquestionably one of Oslo’s top attractions, the National Gallery (Nasjonalgalleriet) is renowned for its magnificent collection of Norwegian artworks, in particular works from the 19th-century National Romantic Period as well as those by Edvard Munch, with pride of place going to his most recognisable masterpiece, The Scream. The museum also contains an impressive ensemble of European art, with works by a wealth of prestigious names including Monet, Matisse, Manet, Cézanne, Degas, El Greco, Picasso, Gauguin and Renoir.
Oslo: Situated just a short ferry ride from central Oslo is the lovely peninsula of Bygdøy, location for the summer residence of the Norwegian royal family and home to some of the city’s top attractions. These include the Viking Ship, Fram, Kon-Tiki and Norwegian Maritime Museums as well as the hugely popular Norwegian Folk Museum (Norsk Folkemuseum), one of Europe’s largest open-air museum containing over 140 traditional buildings dating back to the 17th and 18th centuries.

Our opinion… An excellent choice for a city break. The hotel is well located for exploring the city on foot and is easily accessible from the airport.

Accommodation… Hotel Copenhagen Crown offers bright and spacious guest rooms, which are located on 4 floors with easy access by the 2 lifts from the lobby. All the guest rooms have television, telephone, desk, chair and private bathroom. Wireless internet is accessible from all rooms.
Facilities… There is a bar and restaurant. The hotel also offers bikes to hire and sells admission tickets to a number of Copenhagen attractions.
Transport… Bus stop a few minutes walk from the hotel.
Our opinion… Cosy hotel in central Gothenburg, with short walking distance to the popular areas of Nordstan and Avenyn.
Location… Located just 300 meters from the Central station and 450 meters to the shopping area of Nordstan.
Accommodation… Rooms are decorated in classic Scandinavian design, all with shower, wc and hairdryer. Facilties also include telephone, flat-screen TV with in-house movies, mini-bar and air-conditioning/heating. Safe deposit box available in reception.
Facilities… The hotel has a restaurant, bar and sauna.
