Ghent City Breaks
Ghent’s historical centre dates from medieval times and is built around the imposing Gravensteen castle, dating from the 12th century. The town’s world famous Belfry tower is 91 metres tall and dominates the skyline and the Cloth Hall dates from the 15th century and is a UNESCO World Heritage site. Ghent is famous for it’s tasty mustard, which makes a great gift to take home and its shops stock local chocolate and lace specialities. The city has a relaxed and genteel air and is a perfect destination for a short break away from it all.
