What to see on a Bruges City Break
The historic centre is a UNESCO world heritage site and with its beautiful canals and historic market squares is not hard to see why visitors flock to this city. Housing a superb collection of art spanning several centuries the Groeninge Museum is a popular attraction and one for the must see list. The Markt is the main market square and from here a climb up the Belfry’s 366 steps will reward with unforgettable views of Bruges. The Burg, the smaller of the two main squares brimming with medieval history, tourists and horse-drawn carriages cannot fail to impress with its wealth of renaissance and gothic architecture that is present. Belgium is well known for its Chocolate and so a visit to the Choco-story museum is another one for the list or pop into the Halve Maan Brewery where you can have a peek into the other popular export of Beligium, which is Beer.
