What to do on a Bangkok City Break
The Royal Palace complex is at the centre of Bangkok’s attractions and was once home to the Royal family.  Now it features temples, numerous buildings and museums displaying important Thai relics. The Emerald Buddha is housed in Wat Phra Kaeo, which is reputed to have great healing powers. Wat Pho is the largest and oldest temple (wat), and home to the reclining Buddha, or if relaxing is the name of the game, then treat yourself to a traditional Thai massage. The well known Khao San road is an experience not to be missed and is jam packed with bars, restaurants and shops, you can even pop into a tailors and have a suit hand made in 24 hours. Shopping in Bangkok is very reasonably priced and is a draw for the European traveler. Bartering is the way to negotiate the best price and ensure you return with some wonderful souvenirs.
